Summer Solstice 2025: Rules

1. Choose your own partner with a blind draw to determine the other two-some you will be paired with.
2. On every hole, each member of the team may hit a tee shot.  The team then selects one of the tee shots from which to play.  All members may then hit from that position.  The procedure is repeated until the ball is holed.
3. You must use a drive from each player at least two-(2) times.  First shot on par 3's count as a drive.
4. Each team member may place his/her ball within one club length of the selected shot, but not nearer to the hole.  The condition of the ball may not be changed, even if relief is within one club length away (e.g., no moving from the rough to the fairway, fringe to green, etc.)
5. The ball should be marked on the putting green and putts need to be made within 3 inches of the marked spot (no closer to the hole).
6. All Players will tee off from the gold tees on their first hole.  Please note, if there is a female in your group, they will tee off from one set forward from the rest of the group.  The following holes you will tee off depending on your score as follows:

Par:  Stay at same tee box as prior hole.

Birdie/Eagle:  Move back one set of tees from prior hole.

Bogey or Worse:  Move up one set of tees from prior hole.

Example:

Hole 1:  Birdie - Tee off from white tees for the next hole.

Hole 2:  Par - Stay at White tees for next hole.

Hole 3:  Birdie - Tee off from Blue tees for next hole

Hole 4:  Double Bogey - Move to white tees for next hole.

Hole #8:  7-IRON CHALLENGE

On hole #8, only the 7-IRON club can be used.  You must tee off with 7-iron, then choose the best shot and use the 7-iron club from that spot.  Continue to use 7-iron until ball is holed.  Must use 7-iron for putting as well.

PAYOUT INFORMATION:  Payouts will vary depending on the number of players and will be announced before the tournament.  

Tiebreaker Rules:  In the event of a tie for 1st, 2nd or 3rd, we will compare the score card of the teams that have tied starting with the Men's number 1 handicap hole (not the first hole) and continue with the Men's number 2 handicap hole, etc., until the tie is broken.  Best score on hole determines winner.

If there is a tie for last place, we will break the tie with the worst score on the number 18 handicap hole and continue to number the 17 handicap hole, etc.
